To give a dog a forever home, contact the Hardin County dog shelter. It is located at 49 Jones Road on the west side of Kenton.

Generally, about 20 to 25 dogs are available for viewing.

Ada Rotary Club holiday food and wine pairing will be held at The Inn at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7. Proceeds benefit Rotary community projects. To make reservations, call The Inn at 419-772-2500.

The 26th annual Ada Schools senior citizens Christmas luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the school. The Varsity Singers and High School Choir will perform at the conclusion of the meal. Call 419-634-6421 for reservations for the free meal. Those 62 or older are invited.

A soup and salad supper, quilt raffle, and auction are all part of the Ada Presbyterian Church Women's Guild activities to raise money for missions. The public is invited to the supper and activities to be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the church.

Dustin Funk collects toys or money for the price of admission to the 37th annual, all-day, 11-team ONU wrestling invitational on Saturday at the Sports Center. Funk, a senior, is a former wrestler who plans to enroll in law school. Last year the wrestlers collected $1,500 and dozens of toys for Hardin County needy children.
