Marilyn Harpster 1936 - 2021
Marilyn Harpster, 84, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 3:50 p.m. at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born on June 22, 1936, in Elida, Ohio, to the late Abram and Corrine Brenneman. Marilyn was married to Norman Harpster for over 55 years and he survives in Roundhead.
Also surviving are her daughters: Kathleen Montanez of Clark, N.J., Jane (Scott Hummel) Davis of Westerville and Peggy Harpster of Roundhead; three grandchildren: Ed Jennings, Angela Valante and Maria Johnson; a sister, Doris Shaffer of Kenton; and several nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Juan Montanez.
Marilyn was a hardworking and loving homemaker. She was a member of the Roundhead United Methodist Church and the Gardendale Church of God. She sold Avon and Watkins and worked as a Nurse's Aid at Lima Memorial Health System. She attended Anderson University.
Attendance will be restricted at the funeral and visitation based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements. Face coverings must be worn while attending visitation and service.
Private family services will be held at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with Doug Risner officiating. Burial will be in Roundhead Cemetery, Roundhead.
The funeral service for Marilyn will be live streamed on the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services Facebook Page beginning at noon on Tuesday, March 30.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, March 30, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Roundhead United Methodist Church.
