Ranks 7th among 93 RN programs in Ohio

Nurses make an impact in their endeavors, and Ohio Northern University continues to make its mark in preparing nursing students for their careers.

RegisteredNursing.org recently ranked ONU’s nursing program seventh among 93 RN programs in Ohio.

The ranking analyzes several factors and is based largely on students’ passage rates on the NCLEX-RN exam over a five-year period, from 2014 through 2018.

College graduates need to pass the NCLEX exam to become practicing registered nurses (RN). The ONU nursing program’s five-year passage rate on the NCLEX nursing board exam is 96.6 percent.

While the major building project at ONU this year is its engineering building, another construction project is underway, in the shadow the the larger structure – seen in the rear of this photo. The smaller building, in the forefront, will house the Office of Information Technology staff. It will relocate the English Language Programs to the space vacated by the technological studies department.
