Serving biscuits, sausage gravy, hash-browns, scrambled eggs, fried apples, sausage patties and beverage.

The Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance announces its summer Buy Local Week, Monday June 20, to Sunday, June 26.

"Shop local...eat local...and enjoy all things local, as we support our locally owned and independently operated businesses, restaurants and retail shops June 20 – 26," said Jon Cross of the Alliance.

Several changes to the high school cross country postseason will take effect this fall after the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s Board of Directors approved a list of proposals from the OHSAA Cross Country Subcommittee earlier this week. The changes alter how schools are placed into divisions and how qualifying teams and individuals advance to the regional and state tournaments.
 

The Ada Public Library will offer a myriad amount of activities in the next few days, events of interest to people of all ages. In addition, the busy summer reading program continues. Upcoming at the library:

Michael “Mike” Rettig, age 68, passed away early Friday morning on June 17, 2016, at Lima Memorial Health Systems, Lima.

Mike was born on Aug. 11, 1947 in Kenton, Ohio to Charles and Ruth (Grubaugh) Rettig who preceded him in death.  

Mike was married to Imogene Archer and their son is David. He was then married to Pelma Snyder and their children are Daniel and Sheri. He later married Shirley Phillips and she preceded him in death.

The cycling community lost a leader and friend Saturday morning when William J. Gordon pdied suddenly while biking with friends.

A Dublin resident, Bill was born Feb. 22, 1959 in Elyria, Ohio. He graduated from Huron High School in 1977, and from Ohio Northern University in 1981 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

The time of his death he was Events Director for Columbus Outdoor Pursuits leading bicycling activities including the Tour of the Scioto River Valley (TOSRV), the Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA), and the Columbus Fall Challenge (CFC).
