Feasibility of constructing a roundabout under consideration
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 1, invites the public to a meeting regarding a proposed project to improve the safety of the State Road 81 and Thayer Road intersection in Lima, Allen County.

Every three hours, a person or vehicle is hit by a train in the United States. Crashes at rail crossings can be more severe than other collisions and are more likely to result in death and injury.
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO), the Ohio Rail Development Commission (ORDC) and the Ohio Department of Transportation are promoting Rail Safety Week, September 18-24. The week is dedicated as a reminder to Ohioans to practice safety around all rail crossings. This year’s awareness campaign focuses on the safety of pedestrians, joggers and bicyclists.
The Beautification/Revitalization Committee of the Village of Ada has announced that a Magic on Main capital campaign will bring new downtown décor for the holiday season.The campaign will also fund ongoing enhancements for banners and flowers for other seasons.
The Village is accepting donations to directly support the Magic on Main components: seasonal snowflakes, wreaths and light pole garlands.
Dr. Amy Mullins, associate professor of education and director of graduate programs in education at Bluffton University and Katrina Stone ’25, Bluffton University information technology major, will present the Colloquium, “Phonics Innovations: Technology and Education Departments Collaborating to Provide Literacy Tools” at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22 in Centennial Hall’s Stutzman Lecture Hall.
