The staff and Board of Trustees of the Hardin Northern Public Library, 153 N. Main St. Dunkirk, have announced that construction of the library addition is completed.
To celebrate, an Open House with light refreshments is planned for November 23. The public is invited to stop by and see the addition that will be used for summer reading programs, movie nights, and book club as well as childrens and adult programs.

JACKSON TOWNSHIP __ On November 12, 2024, at approximately 4:40 p.m. troopers with the Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol were notified of a multi-vehicle crash on state Route 81 at the intersection of Hardin Rd. in Allen County.
Nancy E. Weese, age 84, of Columbus, OH was operating a 2014 Honda CR-V southbound on Hardin Rd, approaching the intersection of state Route 81. Mrs. Weese failed to stop at the stop sign at state Route 81 and was struck by a westbound 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee, operated by Samantha E. Hilton, age 32, of Dunkirk, OH.
Merit Michael Conley, Jr., age 64, of McGuffey, passed away on November 12, 2024 at his sister’s residence in Ada.
Michael was born on January 5, 1960 to the late Merit and Sada (Evans) Conley, Sr. He was formerly married to the late Cathy Preston Petersen.
He is survived by his daughter, Jordan (Russell) Girdler of Findlay; granddaughter, Isabelle; two brothers: Jeff (Karen) Conley and Orville (Carla) Conley; five sisters: Doris Neilson, Donna (Roger) Castle, Sandra Bailey, Peggy Baker and Terry (Grover) VanHoose; and special friends: Duane Krummrey, Drake Krummrey and Wesley Krummrey.
