Ada spikers fall in tri-match Sept. 4
The Ada volleyball team lost a non-league tri-match at Arlington with county rival Hardin Northern Saturday morning, September 4.
The Lady Bulldogs fell to the host Red Devils 25-15, 25-18 in the first match. They then lost a close two-setter to county foe HN 25-21, 25-23.
Ada dropped to 1-7 overall with the defeats. The Red Devils ran their record to 1-4 with a split, while HN improved to 3-6 after sweeping Arlington 2-0.
Bulldog junior Courtney Sumner hustled up nine digs and hit for six kills vs. Arlington.
Ada sophomore setter Autumn Andreasen passed out nine assists, came up with five digs and made one block. Junior Emilee Huffer contributed two kills and three blocks.
Senior Selena Jordan added two kills. Sophomore Daicy Robinson amassed two kills and three digs.
Freshman Lily Baumgartner came up with two blocks, and senior Lexi White hustled up 10 digs. Sophomore Josie Phillips mustered four digs, and junior Amelia Alexander served an ace.
The Ada junior varsity beat Arlington 25-19, 16-25, 25-18.
Against HN, Andreasen passed out 17 assists and made four digs. Sumner contributed 12 digs and five kills. Huffer compiled five kills and served an ace.
Baumgartner and Robinson each knocked down three kills. White again came up with 10 digs.
The Bulldog reserves swept HN 25-17, 25-9 to improve to 3-5 this season.
