BEREA — The Ohio Northern softball team extended its winning streak to five games on Wednesday afternoon as it swept Baldwin Wallace 6-4, 9-1 at the BW Softball Field.
The Polar Bears move to 22-4 overall and 8-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Yellow Jackets fall to 10-14, 3-7.
Junior Hailee Loughman (Brookville) led the way offensively for the Polar Bears as she recorded four hits, three runs scored and added four RBI. The junior also added a home run in the second contest.

WAYNESFIELD - The Ada baseball team went to Waynesfield-Goshen and came away with a convincing 7-2 victory in a non-conference battle Tuesday evening.
The win upped the Bulldog record to 2-3 and stopped a three-game losing skid.
Ada led 3-2 after scoring single runs in each of the first three innings. The Bulldogs lengthened their lead to 5-2 with two runs in the top of the fourth frame.
In the sixth inning, the purple and gold added two more insurance runs to put the game out of reach.
