WAYNESFIELD - The Ada baseball team went to Waynesfield-Goshen and came away with a convincing 7-2 victory in a non-conference battle Tuesday evening.

Ada led 3-2 after scoring single runs in each of the first three innings. The Bulldogs lengthened their lead to 5-2 with two runs in the top of the fourth frame.
In the sixth inning, the purple and gold added two more insurance runs to put the game out of reach.
Junior southpaw Matt Middlebrook went the distance and shut W-G out over the final four innings to earn his first victory of the spring.
Middlebrook scattered eight hits, struck out nine and walked three in a complete-game effort. He allowed three earned runs and threw 69 strikes among his 107 pitches. Middlebrook also walked twice to aid his own cause.
