Looks like ONU men's lacrosse team

Story and photos by Monty Siekerman
The ONU men's lacrosse team volunteered at Viva Maria's on Monday evening when a portion of the restaurant's sales were given to the Hardin County United Way.

Here is Alex Pizzaro, junior, civil engineering, volunteering as a server.

A number of diners also wore t-shirts with the United Way theme "Live United."

The restaurant specializes in Italian cuisine. The lacrosse team members helped at the restaurant in several ways as a community service project to support the local United Way.

A large number of people were on hand knowing that a portion of their tab would be donated to a good cause.

Community service is an important component of the ONU College of Pharmacy experience. During the 2016-17 academic year, the college’s 14 student organizations implemented 198 events, with 71 percent of those in the Hardin County community. These included 648 hours of service and reached 8,542 patients. Pharmacy students performed 2,090 health screenings, which resulted in 302 referrals for further treatment.
