WLIO Hometown Stations has reported on the FBI arrest of Bluffton resident Kris Shoemaker and Kayla Miller of Lima.

The report explains that Shoemaker and Miller are facing federal child pornography charges. The pair is alleged to have shared videos of children under the age of 10 with Shoemaker charged with receiving and distributing child pornography.

The Bluffton Police Department issued a statement on May 8 noting that it assisted the FBI with executing a search warrant early that morning.

Kori Lochard will be sharing information about Ada's FFA Program and will have Aidra Preston & Tessa Griffith, two of her FFA students who attended the National Convention, presenting with her.

Howard Patton, age 88, of Lakeview, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.  

He was born on July 4, 1936 in Marshallville, Kentucky to the late Willie and Lelae Mae (Marshall) Patton.  On December 23, 1957 Howard married Arline F. LeMay and she survives in Lakeview. 

Howard retired from Ford Motor Company, Lima where he worked as an automotive technician.  He was a member of the Church of Christ, Kenton.  Howard was a U.S. Army veteran.

ADA – The Ada High School baseball team pounded visiting non-league foe Lima Temple Christian 11-1 and held the Pioneers hitless on an overcast Tuesday evening, May 13.

Ada starter Mason Wibley (five innings) and Brody Rister combined to hurl a six-inning, run-rule shortened no-hitter to pave the way to victory.  

Wibley struck out three and walked two over five hitless frames to earn the win. Rister struck out the side in order in his lone inning to close it out.

ADA __The Ada High School softball team defeated visiting Shawnee 8-1 to secure a historic victory Tuesday evening, May 13. The Bulldog girls won their 19th game to break the program record for wins in a season which they set in 2024.

The Bulldogs improved to 19-3 overall with the victory. Shawnee fell to 13-11 after the defeat.
