The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame announced this week that University of Dayton linebacker Christopher Beaschler is one of 12 finalists for the 2016 William V. Campbell Trophy, presented by Fidelity Investments.
The trophy, sometimes referred to as "the Academic Heisman," recognizes an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation.
One of only six two-time team captains in Dayton history, Beaschler has led the Flyers in tackles the last two seasons and currently has team honors this year with 72 tackles.
Although it's November, Tuesday and Wednesday seemed like late summer days with record 80 degree temperatures. Here, in all of its fall glory, is a large, golden-colored maple tree located in the front yard of the Dick and Peggy Lawrence home on West North Avenue. The nighttime photo, taken Wednesday night, shows a hint of redbud on the left, still with green leaves. An American flag slowly flutters in the foreground of the scene. The Lawrences light the flag and tree each evening. (Monty Siekerman photo)
On view in the Elzay Gallery of Art until Friday, Nov. 18, is “From Picas to Pixels,” an Ohio Northern University graphic design alumni exhibition.

Time and Navigation was designed by ONU graduate Ashley (Dally) Hornish (BFA/graphic design with a minor in museum studies, 2004).
