In an attempt to confound our readers, we selected this slightly-leaning historical marker. Know where it is located?
Hint, the Ohio historical marker tells about the Hog Creek Marsh and was placed by the Ohio Historical Society with funds raised by the Heirloomers Club of Dola and Ada, 39 years ago.
ANSWER:
The marker stands along the southside of State Route 81 between Ada and Dola. The area was once a shallow lake, but the clearing of 8,000 acres in 1868 turned the land into usable farm country.
Kellie Cazewell (left,) and Scarlett Long were part of the July 4th parade in Ada. They were lucky enough to ride in a fire truck. (Monty Siekerman photo)
