Nora M. Carl, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

She was born on December 9, 1937, in Huntsville, Ohio to the late Charles and Catherine (Bidwell) Shroyer.  Nora married Billy Joe Carl on September 16, 1955, and he preceded her in death on August 31, 2011.

Nora is survived by four sons: Terry Lee (Theresa) Bowermister of Dayton, Joe (Doris) Carl of Harrod, Frank (Brenda) Carl of Bellefontaine, and Tom (Missy) Carl of Harrod; a daughter, Pam (David) Schneer of Roundhead; a son-in-law, Jack Gratz of Belle Center; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Gratz and an infant son, Billy Michael.

Nora was a member of the Victory Chapel of Praise.

A celebration of Life will be held at the McGuffey Church of Christ on January 15, 2022, at a time to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions may be made to the Victory Chapel of Praise.
