State Route 235/State Route 309 overlap between County Road 45 and Township Road 35, south of Ada, will close on Monday, May 14 for approximately five days for a culvert replacement. 

State Route 235 traffic will be detoured onto State Route 309, Interstate 75 and State Route 81 back to State Route 235.

Midget, flag football and cheerleader sign up coming next week

Get ready for some football.

Ada midget football, Ada youth flag football and Ada youth cheerleading sign-ups for the 2018 season takes place Tuesday, May 15, from 6-7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Ada Park Building (Brown building on the corner right before the football stadium).

This will be for youth entering grades 3rd through 6th for 2018-2019 school year.

Hardin County – For the time period of April 15-30, Extension rainfall reporters recorded an average of 1.56 inches of rain in Hardin County. Last year, the average rainfall for the same time period was 3.16 inches. Rainfall for the April 15-30 time period is 0.61 inches less than the ten year average rainfall during the same dates.

Robert Sandy “Red” Anspach, age 57, died on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 1:38 p.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima after an extended illness.

          He was born on June 18, 1960 to Walter D. “Red” and Darlene (Yinger) Anspach.  His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Ocala, Florida.    In December of 1984 Sandy married Cindy Crozier and she survives in Harrod.
