Students in the morning class at Ready, Set, Grow learned about the letter "K" this week. Here's one of the students practicing copying the letter.

Hardin County came to Ada on Thursday for the ninth annual Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance's annual membership meeting.

The following awards were presented:  

• Quest Federal Credit Union - 2014 Business of the Year;
• Margaret Carmean - 2014 Citizen of the Year;
• Maddie Kugel - 2014 Community Service Award; and
• Wesley Lowery - 2014 Community Service Award.

Polar Plunge Results
The fourth annual Polar Plunge raised $2,000 which will be given to the Hardin County chapter of the Red Cross. About 100 brave swimmers took the frigid dive for charity. Kewpee donated 300 hamburgers for the quick-dash swimmers. The brothers of Delta Sigma Phi organized and carried out the service project

The Hardin County Pork Producers will hold their annual Pork Banquet on Saturday, March 14, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, starting at 6:30 p.m. The fun-filled evening will include selection of the Queen and Scholarship Recipients as well as amazing food and door prizes.

Ticket prices are $6, and half price for 2014 Hardin County Junior Fair Swine Exhibitors, as well as Fair Workers from the Food Pavilion, and children under the age of 12.

The Ohio Northern University Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents “Mutts Gone Nutts” on Saturday, March 14 at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The evening performance is sold out, however, tickets still remain for the matinee showing at 4 p.m.
