Under the direction of Amy Webb and Jonathan Lischak, Ada's Junior High Winter Guard, High School Rifle Line and High School Winter Guard teams all had great performances March 29 at the Ohio Indoor Performance Association (OIPA)'s State Color Guard and Percussion Championships in Wapakoneta.

Approximately 70 winter guard and percussion groups from around Ohio competed in the event. The Junior High and High School Winter Guard teams won top honors as state champions in their respective classes.

The feeder streams of the upper Scioto River, just south of Ada, are among four areas in Ohio under consideration for reintroduction of the once-common Scioto Marsh mammal.
