Ada's latest news

The Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance and the Buy Ada First Committee will host the 25 Days of Christmas Buy Local Contest Nov. 23 to Dec. 17. 

The two groups invite businesses to partner with them on this initiative to encourage people to shop local this holiday season.

Any Hardin County business may participate. Businesses need to display the Buy Local First Hardin County sign and donate a $25 gift certificate.

This event will be promoted through local media and our Facebook page.

Tuesday, Nov. 3, is the general election in Ohio. Village of Ada, Liberty Township and Ada school district voters will choose candidates. In additional local and state issues are on the ballot. Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

This Week's Schedule:

The Ohio Northern University Department of Music presents an instrumental ensembles concert in the Snyder Recital Hall in the Presser Building on Monday, Nov. 9, at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature several instrumental ensembles in a wide variety of music. To open the program in a spirited fashion, Dale Laukhuf, low brass instructor at ONU, will present the ONU Brass Ensemble performing two selections of American brass music.
