Always Right Driving School, 205  N. High St., Columbus Grove, announces its driver’s education classes planned in January and February.

Classes are held in three locations:  Columbus Grove, Shawnee and Bath from noon to 4:10 p.m.

The schedule follows:

Jan. 31
Feb. 7
Feb. 14

The next series of classes begin Feb. 28.

Rheumatoid arthritis pain can feel worse during the winter months

If you feel your arthritis symptoms getting worse when winter comes, you are not alone. But what causes this issue?

Colder weather may worsen arthritis pain for a variety of reasons. We discuss those reasons and what you can do about them below.

Why does cold weather cause more pain or stiffness?

Although there has been some research on this question, none of the studies have provided a conclusive answer. Still, many individuals report feeling worse arthritis symptoms during the winter, and a few theories have been suggested:

St. Mark Lutheran Church serves drive up/walk up meal

St. Mark Lutheran Church will hold its "Last Wednesday Community Meal"  Wednesday Dec. 30. 

The meal will be served drive up/walk up only and is free to the community.  The meal is not fully planned yet, but will involve some sort of ham. 

The meal runs 5  to 6:30 pm. Current safety protocols will be observed.

"In October we served over 80 meals and ran out," Tom Lehman told the Icon. "We would like to see that turn out again - without the running out part."

@JettMorgan3 is a sophomore civil engineering major. His brother, Steele, a freshman, is a mechanical engineering major. The brothers are from Wooster.

For work in 4-H youth development educational programming

Amanda Raines of Ada, 4-H Educator of the Hardin County office of Ohio State University Extension, has been recognized by the Ohio Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Phi for her work in 4-H youth development educational programming.

Raines received the award on Dec. 9 during the virtual OSU Extension annual conference. Epsilon Sigma Phi (ESP) is the national honorary for Extension professionals.

She is an Ada High School and Ohio Northern University graduate.
