Ada Exempted Village Schools Board of Education, 725 West North Avenue, has announced the November Regular Meeting and Planning Session for 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021.

This meeting will include a Hearing of the Public on the Use of ARP IDEA Part B Funds for the 2021-2022 School Year.

Tarsal tunnel syndrome is a condition that can cause pain with every step you take. Tarsal tunnel, similar to carpal tunnel in the wrist, is a compressed or pinched nerve that occurs at the inside of the ankle. Symptoms can occur at the ankle, the heel and even the bottom of the foot. 

Members of the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce are coordinating Merry on Main activities on Saturday, December 4. Attractions will include:

• Santa at the Depot Caboose

• Cookies

• Treat bags – provided by Liberty National Bank

• Free Train Rides for the kids in the Depot Parking Lot (12-3 p.m.)

• Decorate a Tree with an ornament in the Depot Park

• Kids Shopping event at Beatitudes (10 – 3 p.m.)

• Meet Elsa and Anna from the movie Frozen at Century 21

• Music, crafts and treats at the Ada Methodist Church (Ada Library will help out with crafts)

• Downtown Family Scavenger Hunt (sponsored by Blanchard Place)

To honor the memory of David Agin in his hometown, the family publicly invites friends and loved ones to a visitation and memorial service on Saturday, November 13th, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church (201 S Main St, Ada, OH 45810). We understand travel will not be possible for all but hope we can see many of you there. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 12:30-2:00pm followed by a Memorial service at the church at 2:00pm. There will be a private graveside service for family only at Hasson Cemetery in Jenera.

On November 11, 2021, Ohio Northern University observed Veterans Day with wreath laying ceremonies and a special outdoor Chapel service. The event was held at 11 a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month, the hour when guns fell silent on World War I battlefields.

In wind-swept ceremonies near Main St., the Color Guard of Ream-McElroy VFW Post 9381 of Ada Posted the Colors and Dr. Adriane Thompson Bradshaw sang the National Anthem. Cole Mefford, President of the ONU Veterans Organization introduced speaker Chaplain (Colonel) Dan Burris, State Chaplain for the National Guard of Ohio.
