Blanchard Valley Hospital, Bluffton Hospital and EasternWoods Outpatient Diagnostic Center will not be affected by the recent Anthem announcement to limit health insurance coverage of high end radiology services in the hospital outpatient setting.
High end radiology services include computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
This recent announcement may affect certain areas of Ohio, but will not affect Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) or its facilities.
BVHS will continue to provide high end radiology services to all Anthem enrollees on an outpatient basis, as well as for inpatients.

The ONU trick or treat gathering of gouls (and a school bus) on Tuesday drew more than 200 kids plus parents to McIntosh Center for registration.
The Halloweeners were divided into small groups to go to residence halls to beg for candy, then returned to McIntosh for a free hotdog meal and costume contest in the ballroom. The outing was organized by the office of residence life.

The ONU men's lacrosse team volunteered at Viva Maria's on Monday evening when a portion of the restaurant's sales were given to the Hardin County United Way.
Here is Alex Pizzaro, junior, civil engineering, volunteering as a server.
A number of diners also wore t-shirts with the United Way theme "Live United."
The restaurant specializes in Italian cuisine. The lacrosse team members helped at the restaurant in several ways as a community service project to support the local United Way.
A large number of people were on hand knowing that a portion of their tab would be donated to a good cause.
Dr. Stephen G. Hoag, 73, who served as pharmacy dean here from 1987-1993, died Oct. 16 in Duluth, Minn.
He was instrumental in expanding the clinical experiences in the region and in setting the stage for the PharmD degree at ONU. Under his watch, ONU became the first college in Ohio to offer the PharmD degree.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday in Duluth.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jill, two sons, two grandchildren, two brothers, and a sister.
