The Cask Room has same staff, new owners
CORRECTION: Friday hours of operation corrected
The Cask Room, 127 S. Main, has new proprietors, effective February 28, 2022. Denise D’Arca has purchased the business from founders Steve and Sue Bates.
The biggest change coming to the establishment will be the addition of a menu featuring chicken wings and sandwiches once the food license is issued. D’Arca notes that the atmosphere and staff will stay the same. Her husband and son will assist with bookkeeping and menu, while daughter-in-law Eliza Keller is behind the bar.
Hours of operation are now 4:00-10:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 4:00-midnight Friday-Saturday. The following Happy Hour specials have been announced:
Mondays - 5-8 p.m. 1/2 price cocktails, wine and tap beer
Tuesdays - 4-6 p.m. $1 off wines by the glass and no corking fee on retail wine
Wednesdays - 4-6 p.m. $1 off draft beers and ciders
Thursdays - 4-6 p.m. $1 off appetizers
Fridays - 4-6 p.m. $1 off cocktails and liquor pours
You may know D’Arca as a professor of music education at Ohio Northern University, where she taught through 2018. The Icon learned that the D’Arcas have lived in Ada since 1988, when the family moved here from Missouri. Denise is also taking part in the Hardin Leadership Inc. class of 2022.
