Lawrence Vivolo served in the U.S. Air Force

Lawrence C. “Larry” Vivolo, age 79, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at 11:24 a.m. at The Springs of Lima, surrounded by his family.

He was born on December 10, 1942, in Warren, Ohio to the late Lawrence C. and Frances (Sherock) Vivolo. In August of 1994 Larry married Marilyn L. Shadley and she survives in Wapakoneta.

Also surviving are his four children: Larry Vivolo of Scotstboro, AL, Tony (Shannon) Vivolo of Las Vegas, NV, Candace (Rob) Malyszek of Moorpark, CA, and Shane (Natalie) Coleman of Alpharetta, GA; five grandchildren: Daniel, Alyssa, Austin, Kaden, and Bailee; and a sister, Nancy Flaviano of Niles.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Viole.

Larry retired from Teradyne, where he worked as a computer science engineer.  He was a U. S. Air Force veteran who served from December 28, 1960 - December 11, 1964. He was a member of the Wapakoneta VFW Post #8445.  Larry enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and fishing.  Larry loved to travel all over the world.

Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Rev. Anthony Krummery officiating.  Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger with graveside military services conducted by the U.S. Air Force and Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guards.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Monday, March 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.   

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
