Of 70 entries, Probst was closest to predicting the outcome

Levi Probst, Bluffton, is the winner of the Ohio State vs. Michigan football contest.

With 70 entries in the contest, no contestant picked OSU to win by more than 21 points. OSU won by 23, winning 62 to 39.

Probst was the closest contestant. He predicted OSU to win by 14 to 20 points. He won both tie-breakers, saying OSU would score first and would lead at the half.

In second place - each predicting OSU to win by 14 to 20 points were:
• Ken Shonk (lost by predicting Michigan would score first)
• Kimberly Robinette (lost by failing to predict who would score first)
• Jerry Burkholder (lost by predicting Michigan would score first)

A two-hour fog delay called at 5:50 a.m. this morning resulted in Ada schools cancelled at 8:30 a.m. this morning, Friday, Nov. 30.

 

It's Dec. 8 - 34 vendors plus Santa!

Vancrest will hold its third annual Christmas craft show with 34 vendors this year—and Santa will be there, too.

The sale of holiday and everyday items will take place from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8. Vancrest is located on SR 81 West across from the Ada Schools.
Shoppers will find a huge variety of merchandise to choose from—jewelry, Christmas towels, cookies, and all manner of unique crafts.

Ada, Upper Scioto, Allen East, Waynesfield

ADA - The second annual four-team Border Battle holiday basketball tournaments will be held December 27-29 at Ada High School.

The event will feature competition between the varsity boys and girls teams from Ada, Allen East, Waynesfield-Goshen and Upper Scioto Valley.

The tournaments cover three days, and eight total games will be conducted on the following days with these matchups:

Thursday, December 27th: Girls semifinals

Varsity Girls – 6 p.m. Allen East vs. Waynesfield-Goshen

8 p.m. Ada vs. USV

Friday, December 28th: Boys semifinals

The Inn will offer a two-night option for their monthly PaintINN in December. Paint a polar bear or porch sitter. Either is available on Dec. 10 and 11. The PaintINN will begin at 6 p.m. and includes art supplies, instruction, food, and beverage. Cost is $38 plus tax and gratuity. Call 419-772-2500 to reserve a place.

Tori Wyss: 11 rebounds and 11 points

The Ohio Northern women's basketball program upended in-state foe Case Western Reserve 71-57 Wednesday evening inside Horsburgh Gymnasium in Cleveland, Ohio, claiming their fifth successive victory to kick off the 2018-19 campaign.

The Polar Bears, who move to 5-0 overall, received 20 points from senior guard Jenna Dirksen (Beavercreek/Carroll) and double-double efforts from junior forward Emily Mescher (Maria Stein/Marion Local) and senior forward Tori Wyss (Ada) in the win.
