Dear Darling Boutique opened in Ada on Friday morning with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended not by one but by two Chambers of Commerce. The Grand Opening continues Friday and Saturday.
On a beautiful Friday morning, co-owners Rayel Rose and Rachel Daley welcomed a large crowd at the ribbon cutting ceremony held by the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce and the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance. Lu Cooke read a Governor’s Proclamation welcoming the new business.
LaCROSSE, Wis. — Junior Maddy Reed (Piketon) won the national title and sophomore Maggie Krause (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) earned All-America honors in the pole vault to lead Ohio Northern on the first day of the 2018 and in the pole vault at the NCAA III Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday afternoon at Roger Harring Stadium.
Reed won her first title and is now a four-time All-American by clearing 3.95 meters.
Krause cleared 3.65 meters to finish tied for eighth.
Thomas E. Joseph, age 87, died on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 2:20 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on February 4, 1931 in Lima, Ohio to the late Cloyd and Edna (Cook) Joseph. On February 17, 1951 Thomas married Roberta J. Hawk and she preceded him in death on November 15, 2015.
Thomas retired in 1988 after working for 31 years as a machine operator for the Ford Motor Company, Lima Engine Plant. Thomas was a 1949 graduate of LaFayette-Jackson High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Thomas enjoyed thrift store hunting and collecting, reading and always had a story to tell. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Kenton Hardin Health Department is sponsoring an event where families can participate and at graduation each one receives a new bike! You do not have to have children to participate, adults may participate with no children. We are asking that you register 3 weeks prior to the event so we can get bikes for those that are attending. State Route 195 between county Road 110 and township Road 100 (East Cottonwood Road), just south of McGuffey, will close June 6 for approximately 30 days for a resurfacing and widening project. Traffic will be detoured onto county Road 110, state Route 235 and state Route 309 back onto state Route 195. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.

LaCROSSE, Wis. — Senior national champion and 4-time All-American Matt Molinaro(Sterling Heights, Mich./DeLaSalle) finished second in the prelims of the 1,500-meter run at the NCAA III Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday afternoon at Roger Harring Stadium.
Molinaro was second in his heat and second overall in 3:54.03 to advance to the finals, which will be held on Saturday at 12:25 pm(1:25 pm EST).
He will compete again on Friday at 5 pm (6 pm EST) in the prelims of the 800-meter run.
