The Hardin County Sports Hall of Fame has announced the 2025 Sports Hall of Fame class of inductees: Sue Fetzer, Darren Gilbert, Jeff Hastings, Gayle Lauth, Charles Renner, Jim West (Posthumously), 1975-1976 Ada Bulldog boys basketball team (Head Coach: Gene Fries).

The Liberty Township monthly board meeting has been rescheduled for January 21 at 7:00 p.m.

VAN BUREN __ The visiting Ada High School girls basketball team lost a defensive 35-29 battle to Van Buren in a Blanchard Valley Conference contest on January 16

The tough road defeat dropped the Bulldog record to 2-12 overall and 0-7 in the BVC. 

Van Buren improved to 6-8 overall and 4-3 in BVC play with the home victory.

“The girls played hard and battled all game,” said Bulldog third-year head coach Zach Ricker. 

Ada trailed 9-4 after a low-scoring first period. The Bulldogs stayed within striking distance at halftime, down just 16-10. Ada then tossed in 14 third-period points to forge a 24-24 tie.

Senior night celebrated at tri-match

ADA – The Ada High School wrestling team swept a Blanchard Valley Conference tri-match convincingly on January 15.

The Bulldogs beat Riverdale 48-27, and trounced McComb 54-12. Ada finished on a 24-6 run vs. the Falcons to pull away and win what had been a close match at the midway point.

The Bulldogs raced to a 36-0 lead vs. the Panthers and were never threatened.

The decisive wins punctuated the night for Ada senior fourth-year grapplers Liam Vieira and Landon Simon.
