"Backed up" is a term used to describe the state of constipation. Eggbound is a Northern British saying for constipation, while FarFromPoopin is a funny slang term to describe the condition. However, there is nothing funny about chronic constipation.
Chronic constipation affects about 14% of adults around the world. It more commonly affects older adults, women and non-White populations. Many things can worsen constipation, including not eating enough fiber, diet, lack of physical activity, stress, depression and certain medications.

Four second graders participated in the non-competitive Early Learning challenge and shared an exciting story about a field biologist, police officer and police dogs working together to rescue a lost turtle from predators. Four Seasons Drive Thru, 205 N Main St., which is owned and operated by the Rick Hughes family, received the 2025 Business of the Year Award at the February 26 Ada Distinguished Awards.
The award was presented by Linda Mason.
Adriana Hughes told the Ada Icon that the location was formerly an old gas station. In 1997, Rick and Charlene Hughes transformed the building into a drive-through convenience store. Adriana notes this was “a love story” business. Charlene had been a stay-at-home mom and Rick made the business happen.
