On Thursday, July 7, members of the Ada Rotary Club gathered with Ruth Roider at the Butterfly Garden located at the Ada Pennsylvania Station and Railroad Park. The club supported the creation of the Butterfly Garden and Roider painted a sign identifying the project. The flowers and milkweed plants should bring more butterflies, especially Monarch butterflies, to the Ada area.
Patricia K. “Pat” Klingler, age 81 passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
She was born on May 2, 1941 in Shiloh, Ohio to the late Forrest “Mike” and Mildred Helen (Firestone) Gilbert. On December 18, 1955, Pat married Robert E. “Bob” Klingler and he survives in Ada.
Pat loved visiting with her family and friends. She loved country music especially Conway Twitty. She was avid flower gardener. She enjoyed reading and playing games. She enjoyed travelling for many years to Myrtle Beach with her husband. She was a wonderful homemaker.
The Hardin County Agricultural Society is hosting a cheerleading competition at the Hardin County Fair at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2022.
The competition is for school squads, recreation squads, local gyms, USASF teams, and individuals/duos. The competition will have tumbling & non-tumbling and stunting & non-stunting divisions in the following categories:

The Ada boys summer swim team is in a solid third place out of eight teams after the first day of the 40th annual Western Ohio Aquatic League championship meet at the Wapakoneta Community Pool concluded Friday.
Ada's Olivia Agozzino won three races on the first day in the girls 9-10 age bracket.
Lady Alligator Lily Baumgartner (15-18) touched first in two events, and she also swam a leg for the winning Ada medley relay quartet.
The Ada boys trail only Bluffton and Wapakoneta, while the Alligator girls stand seventh out of eight teams.
