Vicki's Music Studio of Ada is now accepting early registration for summer group classes for children from babies to age 10.

Because summer brings vacation plans, families can choose from multiple class sessions. Registration continues through June 27, the first week of classes.

The Ada High School tennis team competed in the Div. II sectional tournament Thursday, May 12 at UNOH in Lima.

Three Bulldogs participated in the singles tournament, while two tandems played in the doubles bracket.

Bulldog senior Dexter Woods easily defeated Gage Buxton of Kenton 6-0, 6-0 in his first match. Woods then lost to eventual semifinalist Max Gaumier of LCC 6-1, 6-0 in the round of 16.

Junior Brendan Jameson lost a very close three-setter to Wapakoneta's Connor Coffey in his round of 32 opening match. He fell 6-2, 5-7, 6-4.

Allen County 911 Board and EMA has announced that beginning on May 10, 2022 Allen County will begin accepting text-to-9-1-1 emergency messaging.

Wireless customers can now send a text, up to 140 characters, to 9-1-1 in an emergency. Text to 9-1-1 should only be used in an emergency when placing
a call is not possible: for instance, if the caller is deaf, hard-of-hearing, speech impaired, or when speaking aloud would put the caller in danger.

The Ada High School baseball team lost to visiting Spencerville 17-2 in a Northwest Conference makeup contest on a very warm Wednesday evening, May 11.

Ada fell to 5-12 overall and 0-7 in the NWC with the five-inning defeat. Meanwhile, the Bearcats improved to 6-15 and finished 5-3 in NWC play with the run-rule shortened win.

The Bearcats led 3-2 after two innings. They plated seven runs in each of the third and fourth frames to put the game out of reach.

Spencerville out-hit Ada 8-2 and capitalized on six Bulldog errors.

Bearcat Jack Cox homered and earned the pitching win to pace the victors.
