Norma J. Rex worked for the Alger Elevator
Norma J. Rex, age 87, of Harrod, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Vancrest of Ada.
She was born on January 16, 1937 in Ada, Ohio to the late Robert and Gertrude (Robnolte) LaRue. Norma was previously married to Danny Preston. On March 21, 1982 Norma married Craig Rex and he preceded her in death in May 2017.
Norma is survived by her eight children: William (Barbara) Preston, Cathy (John) Petersen, Mike (Julie) Rex, Sandra (Jim) Corbet, Sharon Cole, Susan (Mark) Underwood, Shelly (Pete) Ehora and Sheryl (Mark) Stumbaugh; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a brother, Butch (Linda) LaRue of Ada.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Erwin.
Norma retired from the Alger Elevator, where she worked as their bookkeeper and secretary. She was a member of the Auglaize Bible Church, Harrod.
Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Pastor Ben Buzhardt officiating. Burial will be in Auglaize Cemetery, Harrod.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Monday, September 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
Memorial contributions may be made to Auglaize Bible Church, 2525 S. Phillips Road, Harrod, Ohio 45850.
