Liberty National Bank will participate in the Welcome Home Program, announced Ronald L. Zimmerly, Jr., president and CEO. The program is a grant sponsored by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati. Funds will be available starting on March 2.
The Welcome Home Program is designed to assist eligible homeowners with down payment or closing costs when purchasing or buying a home.
The Welcome Home Program provides up to $5,000 in grant money for eligible homeowners and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Welcome Home funds will be available starting March 2, 2015, and will end when the money is no longer available.
Auglaize Bible Church held Scout Sunday on Feb. 8. Melanie Butterfield, Jacob Butterfield, and Mason Kirkpatrick were greeters. During the flag ceremony the pledge of Allegiance was led by Miranda K and carried by Eve Brown. Mason carried the Christian flag and pledge led by Jacob.
Samuel Brown read a piece of scripture from Psalm 40 and prayed. Emily Brown played harmonica for offering while the offering was taken by Mason, Jacob, Sam, and Jared Hunt.

How does the long, cold spell affect things in Ada?
Ada Services: frozen water lines and furnace problems have increased about 25 percent compared to normal. People are more prepared this year since last year's cold winter taught people to protect their water lines better with insulation and to run a small stream of water from faucets if frozen pipes may be a problem. More people learned last year to have their furnaces checked before cold weather set this year.
Heavy snow in the area has forced the postponement of the Ohio Northern men's and women's basketball games against Marietta on Saturday. The men's game at Marietta and the women's game at home with the Pioneers have been postponed until Sunday at 3 pm at their original sites. The Polar Bear men's and women's indoor track and field teams will not travel to the Capital Last Chance Meet on Saturday due to the poor travel conditions.
