It's Christmas vacation time for ReStore.

ReStore is closed now through Jan. 4, The Main Street Ada store will reopen with regular hours on Monday, Jan. 5.

The Village of Ada would like to wish everyone safe and happy holidays this season!

2014 has been a busy year of development, progress and growth in Ada, which is possible, in part, due to the cooperation and support of the residents.

The Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance is now accepting nominations for the 2014 Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, and Community Service AwardS.

A NOMINATION FORM IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS STORY.

 

Anyone from Hardin County may be nominated to receive these honors.  A panel of judges from Alliance members will make the final decision. The recipients will be revealed Thursday, Feb. 26, during the Alliance’s annual meeting held at Ohio Northern University’s McIntosh Center.

On Friday, Jan. 16, it's Raisin' Cane a 7:30 p.m. performance starring the award-winning actress, singer and dancer Jasmine Guy, and the acclaimed Avery Sharpe Trio.

Raisin' Cane celebrates and honors the legendary voices of the Harlem Renaissance through text, song, music, movement and imagery. Raisin' Cane was written and conceived by Harry Clark.

Ohio Northern quarterback Patrick Angle threw a 48-yard touchdown pass to lead Team Stars & Stripes in a 31-17 loss to Mexico in the 2014 Tazon de Estrellas Saturday afternoon at the Templor del Dolor.

The Mexicans evened the series between the two countries at 3-3 with the victory, snapping the Americans' two-game winning streak.

Angle, who was one of the four captains for Team Stars & Stripes, finished the day 10-of-24 passing for 132 yards and a touchdown.

His TD pass came with 4:29 left in the opening period to Brendon Boerm of Central (Iowa) to tie the game at 7-7.
