The long awaited 2015 Waste Management recycling calendars have arrived in the Village Water Office.

Residents who have their refuse collected by Waste Management as a part of the Village contract also have recycling collection available to them. As in the past, the recycling is collected every other week, whereas the refuse is collected every week. Many residents have come to rely on the calendars, which are printed and sent to the Village by Waste Management each year.

The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce will meet at 8 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Community Health Professionals conference room, according to Deb Curlis, chamber president.

The meeting will include election of officers for 2015 in addition to other items of chamber business.

Rolls and Coffee will be served.

The Kern Family Foundation has awarded a grant of $1.21 million to the T.J. Smull College of Engineering at Ohio Northern University to encourage further work in instilling the entrepreneurial mindset in engineering undergraduates from 2015 through 2018.

The grant is to be the largest programmatic grant Ohio Northern University has received from a private foundation.

Ohio Northern is part of the Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network (KEEN), a group of approximately 20 private engineering colleges working to produce graduates with the entrepreneurial mindset, learning to nurture curiosity, make connections and create value. ONU has been part of KEEN since 2005.
