There has been a recent increase in cases of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) in our community. SIDS is the leading cause of death for children under the age of one. These losses are heartbreaking for the families and for our community. While not every infant death has a preventable cause, many are associated with risk factors, including unsafe sleep. As parents, there are things that can be done to decrease the risk of SIDS.
War Memorial Park continues to improve its picnic shelter game. The replacement of Shelter #2 will be complete near the end of May. There are 10 shelters and a park building meeting room available for rental. Shelters are $50 and the meeting room with a bathroom is $100. MEDIA RELEASE__Mid-Ohio Energy Cooperative's Annual Meeting of Members premiered this week, coinciding with the cooperative’s celebration of 90 years of service to members in its rural north-central Ohio territory.
The meeting was held in a virtual online-only format, allowing members the opportunity to log in at their convenience and view a co-op update, receive annual election results, and submit for a $20 meeting attendance energy credit.

WAPAKONETA__The Ada High School boys tennis team (which includes girls) served up its season opener with a 4-1 loss at Wapakoneta on Thursday, April 9.
The Bulldog netters start off 0-1, while Wapak improved to 4-1 after the win.
Ada’s junior duo of Brooklyn Andreasen and Jaylin St. Laurent posted the Bulldog win at second doubles over Schadl and Keith by a 6-4, 7-5 score.
At first singles, Redskin Brayden Hooker defeated Bulldog Justin Bowden 6-2, 6-2.
