ADA – The Ada High School softball team kept it close most of the way but ultimately lost 11-3 to visiting Northwest Conference champion Lincolnview in a makeup game on a hot Friday evening, May 16.
The rivals, who finished one-two in the league last year, were locked in a 1-0 duel through three innings. The Lancers took control with a four-run fourth, then put the game out of reach with four more scores on two home runs in the seventh.
The deep Lancer lineup smacked four home runs to power its way to victory in a deceptive final score.

It’s that time of year again when most of us are headed outside for some adventures and fresh air, but there are a few insects we should be prepared for. The prevalence of ticks and mosquitoes increases dramatically in our spring climate, and they pose health risks and act as nuisances to our outdoor activities.
Where does the Liberty Township board meet? At 110 E Buckeye Ave, a few doors down from Main St. On a recent day, the office window provided this reflection of Ada's historic Pennsylvania Depot. The board's next meeting is Monday, May 19 at 7:00 p.m.
