Ada's first American Red Cross blood drive of the year is Monday, Jan. 13. The drive takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Ada Visiting Nurses and Hospice, 1200 S. Main St. Ada.

The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the new year with its annual chamber dinner later this month, according to Deb Curlis, chamber president.

This year's dinner is Wednesday, Jan. 15 at The Wishing Well in McIntosh Center on the Ohio Northern University campus. The dinner begins at 6 p.m.

The cost is $15 per person and members may RSVP by mailing the number of persons attending and payment to:

Although Ada students have had no classes for three days, thanks to an online options, homework instructions are in the works. Here's a portion of the school website that shows how students access their homework. Check the story below for details.

For the third straight day, Ada schools are closed. However, thanks to the Internet, Ada students have a "virtual school."

An email to students today instructed that Students should access online assignments through the school website adabulldogs.org.

The assignment: Complete Day 1 assignments.
