Hardin County rainfall data collection begins for 2025 growing season
MAY 5 MEDIA RELEASE__With the help of fifteen volunteer rainfall reporters, Ohio State University Extension in Hardin County is collecting unofficial township rainfall data for the thirty-third consecutive year.
The 2025 growing season has begun, and we have certainly seen a fair amount of rain already. We saw most of the rain early on soak right in, but recent rains have left standing water. Farmers are becoming more and more active in fields as well as horticulturalist and gardeners. As planting season continues to ramp up, please remember to be patient on roadways and remember to share the road so everyone can return home safely to their families.
Complete rainfall data for the 2025 growing season can be found at www.hardin.osu.edu under the Agriculture and Natural Resources program area tab.
