ICYMI: September 2025 AdaIcon.com Highlights
UPDATE: Print copies have been delivered to Ada Public Library, Beatitudes, Heterick Memorial Library and Vancrest of Ada.
Dear Ada, Ohio area readers,
Welcome to the 2nd print issue of AdaIcon.com, which is being distributed to our local libraries and a limited number of locations for in-house use. Highlights are a small slice of what appears online. In September 2025, we published 126 news items on AdaIcon.com!
Print copies will be delivered to the Ada Municipal Building, Ada Public Library, Beatitudes, Heterick Memorial Library and Vancrest of Ada on or about October 2.
As we enter the last quarter of 2025, the community is abuzz with talk of Halloween, Thanksgiving and even Christmas. In this issue, you’ll find information about the still growing Harvest & Herb Festival, the purchase of the Rite Aid building by Ohio Northern University and Alger’s plans to honor phenomenal Negro League pitcher Ray Brown.
My “Iconoclast View” article notes that this is my 4th anniversary at the helm of the Ada and Bluffton Icons. Those years have flown by!
I am always ready to put more Ada (and surrounding communities) in the Icon. If you are interested in freelance opportunities as a writer, reporter or photographer, please reach out to me.
Have ideas for Icon content? I’m all ears!
