ICYMI: February 2026 Ada Icon Highlights

Dear readers,

The following articles will also be distributed in print form at the Ada Public Library, Heterick Library at ONU and Beatitudes Community Center for in-house reading.

The most notable happening in February 2026 was that downtown Ada mourned the loss of buildings and businesses to a fire that struck on February 2.

A new business, Truly Rooted, opened on the other end of the business district. Read about how two lifelong friends have created this new shopping destination.

Ada Bulldog winter sports are wrapping up and are represented here with several stories.

Ever get the itch to contribute to local news? The Icon wants to provide a local voice for Ada readers. Currently, Ada public meetings are covered by reporters who live in other nearby communities. Give me a call to talk about this opportunity.

Happy reading!
