Need for blood donations continues during blood and platelet shortage
MEDIA RELEASE__ While the next American Red Cross Blood Drive is scheduled for the Ada Visiting Nurses on September 21, there is an emergency blood and platelet shortage right now. David Humphreys, the program leader for the Ada Community Blood Drive, has shared that surgeries are being delayed because of this shortage.
If you can donate, you are encouraged to schedule an appointment at a nearby blood drive. Hardin Memorial Hospital will host a drive on August 5, and there are others that are fairly close.
