Bulldog volleyball sweeps tri-match

ADA__The Ada High School volleyball team handily swept a triangular match over visiting Cory-Rawson and Delphos Jefferson on Saturday, September 12.

The Bulldog girls improved to a sparkling 9-1 after the decisive wins. C-R fell to 0-7 after the losses, while DJ is 4-4.

Ada beat Jefferson 25-18, 25-16.

Bulldog senior Jaylin St. Laurent passed out nine assists, served an ace and made three digs.

Sophomore Tea Griffith handed out seven assists, hit three kills and dealt two aces. She also came up with four digs and had a solo block with one block assist.

Senior Brooklyn Andreasen knocked down four kills, mustered five digs, had one solo block and one block assist. Senior Dailah Preston drilled seven kills and had four solo blocks.

Senior Alivia Gibson smacked two kills and came up with four digs. Freshman Jaycee Allen hit two kills and made a pair of digs.

Sophomore Lucy Carter hustled her way to 13 digs and served an ace.

Senior Taylor Price dealt a pair of aces. Senior Harlyn Lowry and soph Haylyn Geiger came up with three digs apiece.

In the second match, Ada routed winless Cory 25-11, 25-14.

Griffith doled out 11 assists and drilled six kills. She also made two digs, served one ace and had one solo block.

St. Laurent dished out 11 assists and made three digs.

Preston again smashed seven kills, and Andreasen hammered six kills. Gibson knocked down two kills, mustered four digs and served two aces.

Allen smacked three kills and made one dig. Carter mustered 11 digs. Price served five aces and made three digs. Lowry and Geiger each came up with a dig. Geiger also served one ace.

Ada hosts Arcadia (3-3) in the Blanchard Valley Conference opener on Monday, Sept. 14. The Bulldogs then visit league foe Riverdale (2-4) on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
