A free gospel concert will be held on Sunday, Sept. 29, from 4-7 p.m. at the War Memorial Park band stand, 401 N. Park Drive. Performers include Chris Baldwin, Arnold Coy, HeartSong, Jake Reel, and Sonya Petty.
Food will be available from Blinky's BBQ. Bring your own seating. A love offering will be taken for the singers.
If the weather is inclement, the event will be inside the Ada Church of Christ Disciples, 316 S. Main St.
Ronald L. Zimmerly, Jr., president and CEO of Liberty National Bank, announced the addition of a branch operations manager to the Liberty National Bank staff.
Kelly Jackson joined Liberty National Bank in August as the branch operations manager in the Kenton office. She brings with her more than 15 years of combined experience in management, banking, lending, and bank operations. She has worked various roles as she has progressed in her banking career including teller, banker and office manager.
Kelly is currently the Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity of Logan County, for which she previously served on the board for approximately five years.
Sidney Gossard had a great week at the Hardin County Fair. She had Grand Champion Market lamb and also Fifth Overall. Sidney also won the Senior division of showmanship which qualifies her for the Showman of Showmen contest.
A memorial service will be held for Marvin "Marv" Slotterback at Fourway Baptist Church, 9966 County Road 41, Ft. Lupton, Colorado, at 4 p.m., Friday, Sept. 13, according to his family. Slotterback was born July 15, 1942, and died Aug. 8, 2019.

Women’s tennis
The Ohio Northern women's tennis team competed at the non-scoring Oberlin Invitational Friday-Sunday at Hunsinger Courts.
Senior Katie Curry (Oxford/Talawanda) was one of five Polar Bears to post a 3-3 record in the event.
She joined sophomores Olivia Schrager (Dayton/Miami Valley) and Abigail Staskiewicz (Mars, Pa./Oakland Catholic) and freshmen Regan Landis (Elkhart, Ind./Central) and Florine Sanchez (West Chester/Lakota West) with 3-3 records.
All five players went 2-1 in singles and 1-2 in doubles.
