We've not talked with Frosty and family for months. Suddenly, they sort of dropped out of the sky like they usually do. Here's some day-old family portraits. Some are missing artistic touches due the the sun's rays. But, you get the general idea. You'll find these three on North Main Street, Ada.

The NCAA has announced that it will be canceling all of its Division III winter championships events for the 2020-21 academic year.

In its release, the NCAA cited low participation numbers for its member schools as the reason for the cancelation of men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming and diving, men's and women's indoor track and field, men's and women's ice hockey, and wrestling championships events.

The Ohio Athletic Conference is still planning on hosting its regularly scheduled championship events for the winter sports.

You'll see a buzzer beater by Zack Zimmerman, Ada 7th grader, playing at Paulding.

He hit a shot longer than half court going into halftime to set the pace for Ada's second half. Going into halftime, down 7 to 19, Ada scored 15 of their 30 points in the fourth quarter in a 3-29 win.

Join the Inn’s February's PaintINN on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 6 p.m.

Guests may arrive at 5:30 p.m. for an early start. This month’s art project is painting spring tags on wood and is led by Marilyn Reed, professional artist.

February’s Paint INN is Thursday, Feb. 18, at 6 p.m. This art project is painting spring tags on wood.

All events include supplies, instruction, a glass of wine, non-alcoholic beverages and a different plates of appetizers plus dessert.

Each PaintINN takes place at The Inn, 401 W. College Ave., Ada.

ONU alum Haley Belisle, is the coalition's executive director

Ada, Liberty Township and most of the northwestern portion of Hardin County is part of the Ottawa River Coalition.

Ada’s connection to the coalition is through the Grass Run area that encompasses Liberty Township.

The coalition, now in its 28th year, recently held its 2021 annual meeting in a virtual format, according to Haley Belisle, an Ohio Northern University graduate, who is now its executive director.

Belisle said, “This annual event is a time for the coalition to reflect on the achievements of the organization and look ahead to future endeavors.
