SEPT 8 FACEBOOK__On the morning of September 8, 2025, an officer from the Ada Police Department responded to a suspicious person call. A resident had observed a male attempting to enter their vehicles as well as looking into the windows on their home approximately one hour prior.

The officer reviewed the homeowner's surveillance footage and was able to identify the male from previous interactions.

Approximately an hour after receiving the call, the officer located the male, 34-year-old Eric Spence of Ada, near the 400 Block of Willeke Avenue. Eric was found to be in possession of numerous stolen items and placed into custody.

Additional charges are pending, and the investigation continues. The public is asked to call the Ada Police Department if you believe you are a victim of this crime so your property can be returned.

HARROD_The Ada High School golf team hosted a three-team Blanchard Valley Conference match at the Colonial Golfers Club on Monday, September 8 (location corrected).

Arcadia won the event with a total of 184 strokes, followed by McComb (198) and the Bulldogs (219).

“Not a good day, we had high scores across the board,” said first-year Ada head coach Tod Schmidt. “We have five more competitions left in the season and need to finish strong.”

Ada was led by junior southpaw Brody Rister, who carded a round of 51. 

Bulldog freshman Arden Shook posted a 54, while junior Lawson Klingler shot 56.

ADA - The Ada High School volleyball team swept its belated home opener vs. visiting Blanchard Valley Conference foe Vanlue on Monday, September 8.

The Bulldog girls improved to 9-1 overall and 1-1 in the BVC with the league home win. Ada rolled to victory by a 25-15, 25-17, 25-18 count with a balanced hitting attack.

Vanlue stayed winless overall at 0-6 and is also 0-1 in BVC play after the loss.

Junior setter Jaylin St. Laurent served up five aces, made five digs and passed out 18 assists.
