The sixth annual Made in Ada Wilson Football Festival (Aug. 27), coordinated by the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce, has announced several key sponsorships by area businesses, including a major gift by a business still in development.
Old Route 69 Brewery, which will be located in the former Cole Motors building at 120 E. Buckeye, is the sponsor of the festival stage, a major expense for the event. On April 27, owner Troy Erickson presented a check to chamber director Lindsay Walden and president Becky Neville.
Local potter Andrew Steingass is holding a Spring Cleaning Pottery Sale from April 29-May 1, noon -5:00 each day.
He reports on Facebook: "Kiln has been firing well so I have an overflow of new work and am needing to make space in the studio. Old works will be discounted as much as 50%."
The sale is located at 3354 CR-1, Ada, OH, which is east of SR-235 and south of US-30.
In his About section, Steingass notes, "I am a ceramic artist living in Ada, Ohio. I make primarily functional pottery and fire with a wood kiln."
"The Shop" is the new Ada outlet for Northwest Ohio Liquidations, which also has a warehouse outlet in Bowling Green. Located in the former Reichert's Clothing shop, 111-113 S Main, the business is owned and operated by Jamie and Alonzo Green.
The business has been in Bowling Green for almost five years. The Ada outlet was created, according to Jamie, an Ada native, "Because my heart belongs here."
