At The Inn at ONU on Oct. 31.

The Inn at ONU is taking reservations for its “Around the world Halloween wine sampling” event planned in October.

The sampling is from 7:30 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31, at The Inn, 401 W. College Ave., Ada.

The evening includes five wine samples from a selection of eight wines unique to The Inn, plus a variety of appetizers and desserts.

Wine commentary will be provided during the evening by Diana Kerr Brown, an industry wine expert. Live music is also part of the event.

Wine will be available for purchase during the evening.

Tuesday evening on Zoom told by Fred-in-Stein

FROM BLUFFTON ICON - Want to hear some of the most pulse-pound, unexplained, dark, stories rumored to take place in Bluffton?

Recognized authority, Fred-in-Stein, (also known as Fred Steiner, Ada Icon owner) pictured with his friend, Frank, takes viewers on a journey to the Bluffton Triangle, in a Bluffton Public Library-sponsored evening of creepy Bluffton stories, each carrying a Halloween twist that you’d like to forget.

The program starts shortly after dark, at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27, on a Zoom link from the library.

This highly uncomfortable program features many unexplained tales from Bluffton’s vault of forgotten lore.

The Ada School District is still sponsoring its traditional Veterans’ Day
breakfast on Wednesday, Nov. 11, according to Dave Lusk.

"However, due to covid-19, this year’s breakfast will be drive through/pick up only."

"We invite all veterans and their families as well as active duty service personnel who live, work or worship within the boundaries of the Ada Exempted Village Schools to pick up breakfast between 8 and 9 a.m.

Ohio Northern University Residence Life will host a drive-thru trick-or-treat event next week, according to Isaiah Bailey.

It takes placed from 5 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20, and here are the details:

"In order to keep everyone safe and reduce the risk of covid-19 transmission, we will host a drive through trick or treat. 

"The community is invited to drive through campus, entering on College Avenue by Cosi, and exiting onto Lima Avenue by the Affinity East Complex.

"Residence Life staff members will be physically distanced on the sidewalk along the road passing out prepackaged candy.

"Websites are an important asset for new businesses, but deciding how to get started can be tricky," says Paula Scott, Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs director.

BCE will host a Zoom event talking about how to approach websites with Dave Treat of Thinking Small LLC, a Lima-based web design business in a 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 15.
