Groundbreaking for downtown Lima’s new The Central District takes place Thursday, Sept. 24, on Central Avenue at Spring Street.

Promoters said that The Central District will be a vibrant, culturally-diverse gathering of work spaces, flats, creative studios, makerspace, shops, a bakery, pub, dog park, and entertainment area. The Central District will be Lima’s place to work, live, eat, create, be entertained and celebrate the arts.

The groundbreaking will take place at 4:15 p.m. followed by refreshments and entertainment. COVID-19 precautions will be in place.
