The Alger Memorial Festival Committee is sponsoring a Country-Style breakfast on Saturday, December 2nd, from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. 

Serving biscuits, sausage gravy, hash-browns, scrambled eggs, fried apples, sausage patties and beverage. Suggested donation is $7.00. All-you-can-eat (on premises only). Carry out is available,

Hanson-Neely Funeral Homes will hold its  14th  annual remembrance service at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, at its Ada chapel, 311 E. Lima Ave., according to Bruce Neely.

Persons attending may arrive anytime between 2 and 3 p.m. Upon arrival, a personalized ornament will be given to the family to place on a Christmas tree. Call ahead (419-634-2936) so the ornament can be personalized in memory of someone from the family attending.

A short memorial service will take place at 3 p.m.  A time of sharing and light refreshments will follow.

The annual Kiwanis Club spaghetti dinner will be held from 4:30 until 7 p.m. on Thursday in the high school cafeteria. 

Tickets are $8 at the door for dine in or carry out, those 10 and under free. Last year 230 meals were served.

Proceeds go to Kiwanis activities in the community, mostly for youth programs. More than 230 people enjoyed the spaghetti dinner last year.

Gina Wiley, owner of a dance studio in Delphos, is the choreographer again this year for the Holiday Spectacular.

She has been involved in the production for the past 22 years, beginning as tap dance instructor.

She holds Tango under the towering Christmas tree in the Freed Center lobby prior to rehearsal on Tuesday night.

Breakfast with Santa at The Inn always sells out. For reservations for the Saturday, Dec. 2 event, call 419-772-2500. Cost is $11.75 for adults, $6.75 for children 4-12, free for those 3 and under. In addition to breakfast and a visit from Santa, families will receive a photo to take home.

Two campus organizations will sponsor the third annual Reindeer Run at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, at King-Horn Fieldhouse. 

Mortar Board honorary and Kappa Alpha Theta sorority will sponsor the 5k and Kid Fun Run with a $15 registration fee, which will provide two or three stuffed polar bears to be given to children at local hospitals.
