Ada Senior Citizens game day Jan. 28

The Ada Senior Citizens will meet at noon Wednesday, Jan. 28, in the Community Health Professional building for pizza and card games and/or board games.

Love is in the air gift show and lunch on Feb. 7

Love is in the air and it's coming to Ada in February.

Community Health Professionals will holds a gift show and salad buffet from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 7, according to Deb Curlis.

The event includes food and local vendors displaying great gift ideas for Valentine's Day. During the day there will be a salad bar and bake sale in addition to gifts available.

Freed Center presents ‘Raisin’ Cane’ featuring Jasmine Guy Jan. 16

The Ohio Northern University Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents “Raisin’ Cane,” featuring award-winning actress, singer and dancer Jasmine Guy, on Friday, Jan. 16, at 7:30 p.m.

With Guy and the acclaimed Avery Sharpe Trio, “Raisin’ Cane” celebrates and honors the legendary voices of the Harlem Renaissance through text, song, music, movement and imagery. “Raisin’ Cane” was written and conceived by Harry Clark.

Kenton Amateur Radio Club to meet Jan. 26

The Kenton Amateur Radio Club will meet on Monday January 26 at 6 p.m. at Henry’s Restaurant, Kenton.

Anyone interested in Amateur Radio is welcome to attend.

January 16 - Raisin' Cane, 7:30 p.m. -  Starring the award-winning actress, singer and dancer Jasmine Guy, and the acclaimed Avery Sharpe Trio, Raisin' Cane celebrates and honors the legendary voices of the Harlem Renaissance through text, song, music, movement and imagery. Red Cross blood drive Jan. 15 at ONU

Ada's next Red Cross blood drive is Thursday, Jan. 15, from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Ohio Northern University McIntosh Center Activities Room, 525 S. Main St.
