Ohio State University Extension, Hardin County, shares the Little Sparks-Goo Crew calendar. Little Sparks-Goo Crew is for Parents, Grandparents, Caregivers, Family Friends, AND the Children (birth to Pre-K) that they love, according to Jami Dellifield, OSU Extension Educator.

Little Sparks-Goo Crew is designed to offer adults and the young children in their lives a variety of activities to encourage social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development. Goo Crew encourages intergenerational learning and a place for adults to learn more about child development.

The Alger Memorial Festival Committee will hold a country-style breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan 7, at the Alger Social Center, 210 N. Main St., Alger.

The menu includes biscuits, sausage gravy, hash browns, scrambled eggs, fried apples, sausage patties and a beverage.

A suggested donation is $7. The breakfast is all-you-can-eat (premises only). Carry out is available. Call 419-679-8460 for free local delivery.

Santa will be at the Liberty National Bank, 118 S. Main, from 9 a.m. until noon on Friday, Dec. 23...just about your last chance to tell him what you want for Christmas...if you've been nice. There will be free gifts for the kids and refreshments.

Eight groups will perform

The Ada HS music department will present its Christmas concert at 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 12, in the school auditorium.

Performing will be Ada Varsity Singers, High School Choir, Jr. High Choir,  6th Grade Choir, High School Concert Band,  Jr. High Band, and 5th and 6th Grade Bands.

Five performances of "Greetings" - make reservations now

The Inn at ONU will present a dinner theatre on two weekends titled "Greetings," written by Tom Dudzick and performed by the Northwest Ohio Theatre Fraternal Association. There will be five performances.

The show tells of a family who lost their Christmas joy and is visited by an ancient, wise, and witty spirit who is set upon healing them.

The dinner theatre is scheduled for Fridays, Dec. 9, and 16 and Saturdays, Dec. 10 and 17. The buffet begins at 6:30 p.m. with the show at 8 p.m.

The Christmas brunch matinee will be Sunday, Dec. 11, with the buffet at 12:30 p.m. and show at 2 p.m.

Christmas at the Farm Museum and A Vintage Christmas

Two events take place in December from the Hardin County Historical Museums, according to Linda Iams, director.

Christmas at the Farm Museum is from 1 to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Fair Ground Road, Kenton. This free admission event includes sleigh rides, exhibits from the Black Swampp Buggy Club and a visit from Santa.

A Vintage Christmas is going on now through Friday, Dec. 30, at the Museum, 223 N. Main St., Kenton. Tuesday through Friday hours are 1 to 4 p.m., and on Sunday, Dec. 11, and Sunday, Dec. 18, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
